Technology transfer fund
The Technology Transfer Fund (TTF) is a strategic initiative designed to support the transfer of technology and knowledge from laboratories and operational environments to the commercial market. It aims to bridge the gap between innovation and practical application, ensuring that scientific discoveries result in tangible products, services, or processes that contribute to the economy and society. The TTF’s primary goal is to foster collaboration between research organizations and industry, stimulate investment in research and development, and create a conducive ecosystem for innovation, thereby directly contributing to economic growth.
The TTF is designed to complement the existing Proof-of-Concept (PoC) program, one of Croatia’s most significant innovation initiatives. The PoC program supports pre-commercial testing of innovative concepts to determine their potential to become commercially viable products or services. The TTF enables continued funding for successful PoC projects, supporting further development and commercialization activities.
A key role of the TTF is to accelerate the transfer of research innovations from the laboratory to the market. The fund facilitates the transformation of scientific and technological discoveries into commercially viable products, contributing to economic growth and enhancing industrial competitiveness.
This program will also create the conditions necessary for successful technology transfer and address the challenges faced by businesses, research organizations (ROs), and technology transfer offices (TTOs), including the lack of knowledge and financial capacity for technology transfer.
