Online Workshop - VALID Call
On Wednesday, 9 July 2026 at 14:00 (CEST), Project DIGIT is hosting a free online info workshop dedicated to the VALID call (Validation of Social Innovations by Startups). The workshop will be held via Microsoft Teams and will run for up to two hours.
VALID is aimed at startups, that is, micro and small enterprises up to five years old, that have an innovation, product or technology for solving concrete social challenges but lack the funds to develop a prototype, test, validate or prepare for market entry. The focus is on digital and green social innovations that respond to real needs of citizens and communities. Eligible applicants must be registered to conduct economic activity and have their headquarters or place of business in the Republic of Croatia.
The call offers grants ranging from EUR 80,000 to 300,000 per project, with projects co-financed up to 80% of eligible costs and applicants required to provide at least 20% own contribution. Eligible costs include staff employed on the project, external expert services related to validating the innovation, use of equipment and infrastructure, travel and dissemination of results, as well as market research, user-experience testing and social-impact measurement.
During the workshop, participants will learn how to apply to the call, what the call looks for, the call criteria, and how to prepare a proposal that stands out. Participation is free of charge, and registration for the workshop is open until 7 July 2026 at 16:00 on this link.
The access link will be sent to registered participants by email before the workshop begins.
